BYU, Colorado, Utah, Washington State
Every year it seems like the Cardinal coaching staff sneaks into Utah and comes away with one or two of the state's best high school players, and this year it was no different with Sione Lund and Levani Damuni. Damuni will likely take time off for an LDS mission, but his game film (below) shows that he'll be well worth the wait. What jumps out first is his size. He's already at 225 pounds, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he put on another fifteen or twenty pounds and bulked up to the size of Kevin Palma. The key, obviously, will be maintaining enough athleticism to give him the versatility to get after the passer on one play and drop in coverage on the next.
Stanford has a rich tradition of linebackers, and the highly-regarded Damuni could be the next in line. As mentioned above, it's possible that he'll take time off for a mission, which would delay his arrival on campus until the fall of 2019 and probably keep him from seeing any game action until three years from now.
